The workout wasn’t that bad really; in fact Monday’s seem to be relatively laid back. (I’ll pay for that next week!) I got to the gym late and as a result the place was pretty busy, but there was no waiting for the equipment I needed, so that was a win. The warm-up went by pretty quickly and was ok except for the arm circles. I know what you’re thinking, “how in the world can arm circles be a problem?” Well, I still have an angry diva for a shoulder, that’s how.
KB decided to raise the bar on my squats today (maybe she saw my previous post about squats being easy!) Regardless we added weight today. As I’ve mentioned before I enjoy the challenge of lifting weights, but I really didn’t want to crush my spine first thing on a Monday morning, so I started pretty light. However my stubborn side kicked in as I went through the sets. KB instructed me to make the last set hard, so I did. There is both a plus and a minus side to this. We’ll start with the minus side; remember a few lines back where I said I didn’t want to crush my spine? Yea, about that! But, on the plus side I asked this extremely handsome gentleman to spot me on my last set, yea, the crushed spine was totally worth it!
By the time I was done with my workout I was glad I got up and went to the gym, but I was also disappointed with my overall attitude and performance. Tomorrow will be better.
