OK, in a previous post I made mention of my job, I’m a field installer for a local computer company. Basically I run all over the country like a chicken with my head cut off, installing computer systems. An average week on the road is usually five days and about 50-70 hours on the clock. It includes a lot of airports, rental cars, hotels and crappy food. Things I don’t get a lot of on the road, healthy food, sleep and exercise.
Today starts some pretty big changes in that schedule, today my health becomes a bigger priority, today I started the program KB has setup for me, today I realized that I’m going to hurt…a lot…for the foreseeable future, LOL! I keep reminding myself that I have to start somewhere, but it was a little discouraging that I struggled a little with the very simple workout I had for today! I mean who the hell struggles with 20 lunges? Granted, I struggle with 1! For the life of me I cannot tell you why, but I'm just horrible at lunges! I’m a 5th degree black belt! I can do jump spinning kicks, but ask me to do a lunge and I look like a new born calf!! I suppose I can look on the bright side, I’m providing more comedic relief to other people at the gym! If you see me doing these damn things at the gym, I give you full permission to laugh…I am!!
I was expecting a certain level of frustration at the beginning, that’s why I named the site “Just keep tri-ing”!
