One big reason why I’ve always hated to run was because of the pain. The next day my knees would hurt so badly I could hardly stand up. My heel would scream so badly I’d have to walk in the ball of my foot for hours. I’m very happy to say that so far, both my knees and my heel seem to be on board for what’s happening. After my first 5 mile run my knees were tired, but I didn’t have any real pain. My heel can be a little cranky the day after a run, but it’s nothing major. As much as I hate to admit it, I think the stretching from the yoga is helping!
Do I run 6 miles straight, no, I still walk some, but so what! I know damn well I’ll have to walk at Steelhead, and I’m just fine with that!
